Starrett City assigns their own private security force to patrol Starrett. Reported crime and arrests by security are listed in the Spring Creek Sun, the community's weekly newspaper. Many of those arrested or committed a crime are usually young adults in their late teens to late twenties. Actions by Starrett Security commonly reported in the Spring Creek Sun include:
Stolen cars and more serious crimes such as shooting and rape is reported to the local NYPD precinct.
A couple of security booths are planted around Starrett City, at what likely must have been the most troubled spots. It's not a 24 hour guard station as sometimes the booths are unmanned as seen in the picture.
